NaBloPoMo - Day 18

It's 6:32 in the morning here. I'm up, dressed, and having my coffee while trying to fully wake up and get it in high gear before my two little tornadoes arrive. They should be here within the hour.

I thought I'd better pop in now with a quick post - otherwise I won't be able to get a post up until very late this evening. I'm loving doing NaBloPoMo, but posting every single day for a month can be exhausting at times.

I got everything crossed off my list yesterday except for one thing - and that one thing is a whole post's worth that I'll share with you later this week.

On the way home, I treated myself to a delicious dinner from a new little takeout hibachi place near my house.

They serve such generous portions! It's plenty of food for me for at least three meals, and their food is so good - and only $10. Can't beat that!

I guess I'd better run now. I still need to get the girls' Special Sharing Plate ready before they get here. You know the drill - It's tornado time until somewhere between 5-6 pm. I may not have time to make my rounds to visit you today, but I'll do my best. Either way, I'll catch up with you soon.

Have a great day! :)

  6. I'm glad you have taken the time to post daily. I always enjoy your posts! Hope you continue to keep up with us after this! I always post every day unless I don't have internet. That used to happen, but since I've moved, the service is much better.

    1. Thanks Ma. I plan to keep blogging, but probably not daily, especially once the next two grandbabies come along. I'll be back to being a full-time caregiver, probably six days a week this round!

  12. We'll certainly understand if you can't get around to visit; it's kind of you to even do so! Many bloggers doing daily posts just do a daily thought or quote, in case that helps you out on the days you don't have the energy to write a lot. Have fun with the Tornado Twosome!

    1. Thanks Margaret. I was definitely too exhausted to make my rounds last night. I was so tired I couldn't even see straight! I do have a couple of posts like that saved in my drafts just in case, but I prefer an actual post whenever possible. I'll be by to visit this afternoon. :)

    1. Thanks CJ. I'm still amazed at the portion size, especially at such great price. I couldn't cook the same meal as cheap. Make that three days without having to cook, still have enough for tonight! :)

  16. I’m back home from babysitting. We colored, read books, played Encanto Bingo, and built a house for her Rudolph out of magnatiles. Your dinner looks yummy! We met my brother in law and his wife at a hibachi place two weeks ago. It was really good, but too much food!

    1. Thanks Bijoux. I remember you mentioning going to the hibachi place. I love hibachi but going to those restaurants is usually ridiculously expensive. I'll stick with my new little favorite take out place, it's every bit as good. I'm glad you had a nice time yesterday. I'm a little jealous that you get that one on one time. With two, it's almost impossible to have any structed time or quiet time. We sit down to read and one is flying down the hall in the other direction. We take out the building blocks and one wants to build, the other takes joy in sending it crashing down. One wants to play with the Little People Barbie house, the other is stuffing all the little people in the trunk of the Bluey car and driving away. Crazy days, lol!

  26. In previous years I've always stayed at least a day ahead for this and for the A-Z, but since I dove into this at the last second, I wasn't prepared at all, and still can't seem to make time to get even a teeny bit ahead of the game!
