Good morning, friends. I hope everyone had a good day yesterday, and I hope you have a long weekend to rest and recover from the festivities.
I had a really nice day. I watched the parade in the morning while messaging back and forth with my kids. We decided to get together over the weekend instead of everyone coming over at random times.
I could hardly wait until a decent time to eat. I made little Thanksgiving sandwiches - turkey, stuffing, and cranberry sauce on dinner rolls, with a little gravy on the side for dipping. It wasn't a big Thanksgiving meal, but it sure hit the holiday spot.
A cold front came through in the afternoon. Perfect timing to kick off the Christmas season. I put up my little Christmas tree, wrapped some presents, watched some football, and then had a little movie marathon in the evening. It was a nice, relaxing Thanksgiving Day.
Fast forward to today. I have an unexpected surprise, I will be watching my baby girls after all. They are already on the way. At least I got one good day of rest in.
I have to run, they will be here soon. Have a great day. :)
Good morning and Happy Belated Thanksgiving. Sorry I've been MIA this week, but I will go back and catch up on your other posts. Long story short had to put mom in hospital on Monday and the rest of the week was history.
ReplyDeleteOh no, what happened, Tamy?!
DeleteGlad you had a relaxing Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteThanks, it was perfect!
DeleteHave fun. Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Mary. It was very nice. :)
DeleteSounds like you had a very nice day and accomplished a few things too!
ReplyDeleteNow that you mention it, it was a productive day too. :)
DeleteWe are being bombarded with snow, which stresses me out. We have an event to attend tomorrow and my son and his family leave to go back home to Chicago on Sunday. UGH!
ReplyDeleteThat doesn't sound great, Bijoux. I hope it lets up soon - although I'm sure you wouldn't be upset if your son and his family have to stay longer!
DeleteEnjoy!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Christine.
DeleteEnjoy your time! And I hope you had a fabulous Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Linda, it was great! :)
DeleteI'm glad to hear you had a relaxing Thanksgiving. A good movie marathon sounds wonderful. I hope you have a great time with the girls today.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lori. I definitely enjoyed my little movie marathon. It's somehow rare to ever find time to do something like that.
DeleteHope you aren't too exhausted after today, but I'm sure you will also have a great time.
ReplyDeleteI am totally exhausted, lol!
DeleteEnjoy your day with the babies! We pulled out our Christmas tree today, and are listening to Christmas music while decorating and cleaning up.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Belinda. Enjoy your festivities! :)
DeleteSo happy you hear you had a nice Thanksgiving! And I am ready to kick of the Christmas season this weekend, too.
ReplyDeleteThanks, San. Have fun this weekend! :)
DeleteIt sounds like a relaxing Thanksgiving! Good! Hope today's not to hectic.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lisa. It was a great Thanksgiving, and of course, I'm totally worn out after my day with the girls, lol.
DeleteI hope you enjoy time with your girls. I guess it makes sense for you to welcome a cold front, since you're in Florida. Here, I cringe at the thought of a cold front - but it's already cold. so, blah.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Ernie. Yes, a cold front here just means the AC won't be running, nothing like what you have to deal with!
DeleteEnjoy your time with the granddaughters! My sister-in-law makes eggrolls with the leftover turkey, stuffing, cranberry, potatoes and dips them in gravy. Delicious! I'm starting to decorate for Xmas too!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Margaret. Those eggrolls are a fantastic idea! Happy decorating. :)
DeleteHave a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Marie, you too!
DeleteThank you for dropping into my blog. It is lovely to meet you. Happy Thanksgiving a bit late. Enjoy the visit with your baby girls.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Thanks, Jackie! It's nice to meet you, too. Thanks for popping over to say hello. :)
DeleteHave fun with the girls! I'm sure the weekend get together will be fun.
ReplyDeleteThanks! The girls wore me out, as usual, but I'm looking forward to getting together with the whole family again over the weekend. :)
DeleteYes, we are enjoying that little cold front here too. It really made it nice for yesterday to be walking around outside and enjoying the fresh air. Today has been a bit nippy and windy, however. At least it didn't freeze, for which I am thankful, because I was too tired to cover my plants last night. I hope you had fun with your little ones today, and I know you will have a lovely rest of your weekend with your family. Your yesterday sounds very relaxing. Happy Thanksgiving and upcoming Christmas/Advent season!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Pam. I like it just cool enough that we don't have to run the AC. Anything colder than that is too cold for me, lol!
DeleteI got back to Minnesota about 2:00, saw family then home with my kids and assorted pets. Today was chill and I liked it.
ReplyDeleteWelcome home, Sam. I'm glad you were able to just take some time to chill. :)
DeleteYour Thanksgiving celebration sounds perfect. Enjoy the girls!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Mimi! :)
DeleteSounds like the perfect day before your busy weekend.
ReplyDeleteI can barely move this morning, lol!
DeleteGlad you got to relax on Thanksgiving day. Hope you had a fun time watching your grandkids, today. Hope you have a lovely weekend.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Bless. I hope you have a great weekend too. :)
DeleteI think today is the day I put up my tree. I have to tie it off three ways, to keep the cats from knocking it over.
ReplyDeleteI remember those days! Happy decorating, and thanks for stopping by. :)
DeleteWe are enjoying much cooler weather here, too, Martha. What a great way to prepare for the Christmas season! Glad you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Martha. I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving, too.
DeleteGlad you didn't have everyone dropping in at random times. Sounds like it was a lovely day.
ReplyDeleteIt definitely was! It's my kids, so I was definitely fine with them dropping in whenever, but it all worked out well,
DeleteSounds like a wonderful holiday season your way! Do you watch Christmas movies? I just love'em. Lost count of how many I've watched in the last few months.
ReplyDeleteI had planned on watching Christmas movies on Thanksgiving, but I just wasn't in the mood for those kinds of movies for some reason. I'm sure I'll be watching some over this month! :)
DeleteHave you seen Last Christmas, on Netflix? I liked that one 🎄❤️
DeleteI haven't seen that one yet, but I will put it on my watch list. Thanks! :)
