NaBloPoMo - Day 2

First things first, my blog buddy Ernie let me know there is actually a blog that is hosting NaBloPoMo. If any of you decide to participate, or just want to make some new blog friends, you can find the sign up and participant list over at San's blog - NaBloPoMo 2025

Second things Second, lol, I'm exhausted! The time change always messes with me, but this time just seems worse than ever. I'm normally an early riser, but today I was wide awake at 4:30am. My circadian rhythm didn't get the time change memo. Later, l had worked up an appetite after spending hours blog jogging. I normally don't eat breakfast, brunch is my usual, whether it's breakfast or lunch foods just depends on what I'm in the mood for, and it's usually around 11am. I decided on a quick sandwich so I could eat while continuing my blog jog. So there I am taking potato chips out of the pantry and making my sandwich when I look up at the clock and realized it was only 9:30 in the morning. The struggle is real.

That's all I have in me for today friends. It's time to go binge watch some Netflix and try to stay awake past 6pm. I'll be back tomorrow. Have a great evening! :)

  2. Yeah, we're all jetlagged for about a week. Even when the change is in our favor. Take care.

    1. It usually takes me a good month or so to adjust. It always seems like it should be the opposite to me. Why can't it always get light out at 7am and get dark at 7pm?!

  3. I'm sure not a fan of the time changes, I wish we could just stick to one time.

    1. It's horrible and the older I get the harder it is to adjust!

  5. It took me by surprise, so I was up way too early wondering why my phone time was wrong. The phone time... not the electric clock in my bedroom that has to be set by hand!

  6. It’s just a big hassle, between the clocks and the outdoor lighting system. And yes, I was hungry for lunch and dinner way too early. I’m just glad I don’t have little kids anymore because that was the worst, getting them back on schedule.

    1. I was thinking back when you mentioned the kids, I can't remember any of my children or my husband having a hard time adjusting, it seems like it was always just me - unless I'm just too old to remember now, lol!

  9. It usually takes me a few days to adjust after a time change. But, falling back tends to be a bit easier than springing forward. :)

  11. Yes, the time change is really messing with me, too. We also did a dumb thing and accidentally shifted our new dog's meals in the wrong direction (face palm), so we'll be slogging away at shifting them to the right time again!!

  13. The struggle is real. Bah ha ha. thanks for linking me here, and for hopping over to join San. It's great of her to keep us all organized and acquainted. I swore I was gonna be in bed early tonight and that did not happen. I'm flying to Tampa tomorrow late afternoon. Maybe I'll snooze on the flight. I usually do.

  14. Blog jogging is a new term for me. I like it. :) I don't understand why they just can't leave the clocks along once and for all.

  15. I am so happy to see you back Martha. I have really missed you. The Fall-back change doesn't bother me as much but yes; I looked at the clock many times yesterday and was a bit disoriented.
