March Challenge

It's a new month, that means it's time for a new 30 Day Challenge!

I've just updated my 30 Day Challenge page on my top bar if any new friends here would like a little background on what it's all about and why I'm doing it.

I really had a hard time deciding on a March challenge. I have so many different things I want or need to do - big things, little things, things I've been putting off doing. My thoughts have been going in a hundred different directions. I finally decided my challenge for March will simply be Projects.

My project for today will be getting my thoughts organized and making a list of all the different things I want to accomplish. I'll be choosing a project or two from my list per day, and hope to have each one checked off by the end of the month.

I'm making the hubs a list too and hoping for the best.

As always I will be sharing updates with you along the way. Wish me luck!

  1. It sounds like you have a good plan for getting your projects organized and taken care of this month! I always have a list of things to get done but it seems like often I get pulled away and distracted by other things. I need to work on that. I'll follow how you get your projects accomplished this month and get some pointers from you!

    1. Thanks Bonnie. It cuts my list way down already having my home deep cleaned and decluttered from my February challenge. I really like putting things like this out here on my blog, it motivates me and helps keep me accountable knowing others will see what I accomplish.

  2. You continue to be motivated, and that is super!

Getting thoughts organized and list making, sound excellent. Especially the thoughts organized. Our monkey mind is always pulling us, this way and that way and the other way!

  4. I love making lists, and have a lot of them. Love list making more than the chores! Two projects a day is a good idea, like setting a goal. I can't wait to read what you have been getting done, it may give me ideas!

    1. Making the lists are definitely better than doing the projects lol. Some days I might be able to do a bunch of small projects, some other projects may take days. I'll be reporting in and hope to give you ideas :)

  9. If I had to make a list of projects to do I would have to make it a longer challenge than just 30 days.

    1. Having the house deep cleaned and decluttered already cut my list WAY down!

  10. You go girl!! I admire your ambition. My main goal this month involves Bud. I hope the two of us can get our backyard looking like it should...even our huge bird of paradise froze. So that means each individual fibrous leaf has to be hand cut (And it's not easy plus there are hundreds). Then...gardenia, duranta, hibiscus, etc. etc.

    1. Thanks Anni! Spring clean up in the yard is one of my projects this month too, but thankfully nothing here froze. Good luck with your project!

  13. I'm going to start making lists this month. To do lists! I've gotten away from doing that and I like having some things to accomplish each day out of the ordinary. And I have gotten my journal updated...I let it lag when I got busy! lol Hugs!

    1. I completely got away from to do lists too. Having a list helps keep me from procrastinating so much and just helps me remember since those senior moments happen often these days lol.

  16. Good luck Martha, but I am not sure you need my wishes! You are the already most organized person I know, IRL or on blogland! You are an inspiration. Especially nowadays with the everlasting Covid restrictions, I know it is important to have goals to accomplish. Every morning, I do try to think of a couple things I want to do each day. (LOL, breathing and eating don’t count).

    1. Thank you so much Sallie, that's a huge compliment! I had my fill of nothing but breathing, eating (and news watching) last year. I had to do something to get myself motivated even though we are still dealing with the whole Covid thing. *sigh*

  25. I'll join in on the March challenge. I have several projects to finish up so I need this. I never got finished with the Spring cleaning so that is one project that needs finishing. I have several others too. Another is my Spring painting project which should be done by now, but it isn't. Thanks for keeping us challenged. I do appreciate it.

  28. Great twist on the olde Job Jar! Because I'm a compulsive list-maker, I've been compiling a "to-do list on an index card at the beginning of each week ... but sadly, there are more 'carryovers' than completions. Your challenge sounds much more reasonable.

    1. I used to be a list maker, but just got to where I stayed on top of things when I retired. Of course after becoming a sloth in the year we do not speak of, I'm playing catch up big time!

  29. I was just thinking of doing the same thing, Martha, only my list will be "things to do." I have many things to take care of since I moved to the mountains, and slowly but surely I want to get them done. I hope you get things checked off your list as well. : )

    Happy March days to you.

  31. It is good to have a plan and to be organized enough to carry out the plan. I am not very good at sticking with a plan since we retired. But now that it is springtime, I need to get busy on our spring cleaning. I started last week, but then things got busy again and so I am not all that eager to do extra stuff. But you do inspire me to at least TRY. Thank you!!

    1. I know what you mean Pam. Since I retired I just got things done as they needed to be done - until last year came along and ruined me! I got spring cleaning plus some done last month, having that done frees me up for some of the bigger projects this month.
