We weathered the storm here just fine, no worse that typical summer weather as Issac side swiped us. Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers. Presently Hurricane Issac is ready to slam into Louisiana and Alabama. Be sure to keep our friends in those areas in your thoughts too.
Looks like hurricane season has picked it up a notch suddenly...
I'll be glued to the weather channel and weather.com for awhile!
In other news, one of my recipes has been featured at The Huffington Post today. I thought I'd share the news with you and share the linky love at the same time. Remember the Meatball Bubble Biscuits...
Head over to The Huffington Post Kitchen Daily to check out the feature which also includes 9 other bloggers with a Pillsbury biscuit recipe for you to try. Just click on Ten Shortcuts with Canned Biscuits.
Have a great week!

Had been thinking of you. Glad all is well.
ReplyDeleteMan food :).
Thanks Mary - thinking of you too, always.
DeleteGlad you survived it unscaved at your sea and even came to visit me haha
ReplyDeleteThanks Pat and so sorry for my infrequent visits lately!
DeleteGlad the storm side swiped you - hope it dies down before hitting land!
ReplyDeleteGlad you are safe and sound. And congrats on the HuffPo feature! I feel like I'm chatting with a celebrity!
ReplyDeleteGlad Isaac was gentle with your area. I hope New Orleans is as fortunate. Those meatball biscuits look and sound really good, but I agree with you that pizza crust would make them even better.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you didn't suffer from the effects of Isaac. I will certainly be praying for those that will be feeling the full force of it. Hurricanes are scary things for sure. I copied that meatball biscuit recipe down but haven't tried it yet. Maybe I'll do just that tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your recipe being selected!! Glad you missed Isaac too. I hope the storm season isn't too bad.
ReplyDeleteGlad you and your family are okay. Congrats on the recipe. Sounds like something I would like to try.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are safe. Very much like your heading -- "Enjoy the little things . . . ." So true, but easy to forget until you look back and say. . ."yes, and yes; it was a special time."
ReplyDeleteI'll chime in with gladness for your safety and congratulations on the recipe's triumph!

That is so cool about your recipe, Martha!! Its a great one too!! So glad too that you guys weathered Isaac just fine; am praying for others involved in its path currently.
ReplyDelete(niece returned to Ringling today; sister will be emailing you - if she hasn't already, sometimes she's slow on things like this, LOL. But I want to tell you how much I appreciate your kindness to offer your home like this; I do treasure you and our friendship :)
(and we are having the "end it all" garage sale end of September. everything is going, LOL, not sure we'll get the best prices, but at least the stuff will be finally gone...... :)
betty
Coolthat you and yours missed the brunt of the hurricane. As I type, Issac is just beginning to slam New Orleans. Unlike Katrina, Issac is virtually stalled now and heavy rain with bring flooding as well as a test of the levies. I just hope that most people will not take this storm lightly and seek shelter as appropriate.
ReplyDeleteGlad you're missing the hurricane!
ReplyDeleteI think I've seen those meatballs getting pinned on Pinterest quite a bit this week. Congrats!
First, whew glad you are okay.
ReplyDeleteSecond...congrats on the Huffington Post challenge.
