I'm sure most of you know Tropical Storm Debby is out in the Gulf. It's been raining here since early Thursday but the intensity of the rain and winds have been increasing by the day. I feel bad for anyone here on vacation this week.
As of now the storm is just kind of sitting out there spinning with no idea of which direction to go. I've never seen all the forecast models go in so many different directions before. It's crazy!
We are currently under tornado warning, flood warning, and of course red flags flying at the beaches to go with the rip-current warnings, and marine warnings as well. Here's a look at our current radar...
You can check out some photos through the state at The Weather Channel.
Earlier we braved the storm to go shopping for my son's birthday tomorrow, now we're hunkered down at home for the rest of the day and evening. It was no fun being out driving in that weather.
There is a bonus - I finally have some time to do some blog catch up! :)

Oh my, I hope it decides soon AND away from you! Stay safe.
ReplyDeletehappy early birthday to your son, Martha!! Be safe out there!! But you are right; glad to see the silver lining from the storm, some quiet computer time (unless the electricity goes out)
ReplyDeletelet us know how things are going as you can!

ReplyDeleteI just updated my post to say we've had steady rain all day and gusty winds. I hope and pray that's all we get! I'll keep you in my prayers, too. Take care and stay safe! Hugs, Diane
ReplyDeleteI hope that tropical storm decides to disperse and not cause any trouble there. Glad you got some down time but not with the stormy weather. It's been a beautiful summer day here. Just about perfect weather wise.
ReplyDeleteIt's great that you found the positive out of a bad situation.

I saw the weatherman in Florida on the nightly news. He was soaking wet and it looked very scary. I do hope you will be ok with all the warnings and storms. Hopefully it will just dissipate like the last one did. I do wish we had some of that rain though, it is hot and dry and with the 4th coming up, the thought of fireworks (and stupid people) makes me nervous.
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed that everything's okay there. Stay safe!
ReplyDeleteSending you lots of happy thoughts that the weather passes by soon. Happy birthday to your son for tomorrow.
ReplyDelete:-) Mandy
I will be keeping you in my thoughts. Debby sounds like a real hag!
ReplyDeleteTo keep you busy, I tagged you in my blog today!
Stay safe!!
ReplyDeleteI somehow missed your blog migration... No wonder you weren't updated on my google reader... Anyway. Gotcha now. Stay safe!
ReplyDeleteMartha, isn't it beautiful today?! It's nice having the sun back after so much rain. How did you hold up down where you are?
