Want to win $500,000.00 dollars?

It's been a very busy week here, not much time for blog visits. Can I make it up to you by giving you a chance to win half a million dollars? Well, here's your chance! In less than 24 hours I will be buying our Florida Lotto tickets for this weekend's drawing. I know I'm more than ready to retire and just hang around blogging full time, how about you? This week's drawing is estimated at 3 million.

Wouldn't it be fun to have a group of blog friends from all over the world to win together? It sounds like one of those typical crazy winning situations. You never know, we could be next!

If you'd like to play there are only two things you have to do. First, leave me one number in the comment section between 1-53 and second, tell me one thing you would do with the money if you were a winner.

I will get a ticket for each group of 5 numbers in the order received. I will add the 6th number of my choice on each ticket. If one group happens to bring in a winning ticket it will be split among the 6 players for that specific ticket. Be sure to leave me an email address if you don't have it on your blog so I can contact you privately if we win. If I can't email you, you automatically forfeit your portion of the winnings - I know you don't want that to happen!

Florida Lottery numbers are selected at 11pm on Saturday. You can go to Flalottery.com to check the update on Saturday night or I will update this post with the winning numbers on Sunday.

Your numbers will be accepted until 3:30pm Eastern Daylight Time tomorrow - Friday, May 18th. I will be buying our tickets on my way home from work tomorrow so any numbers posted after 3:30 are not eligible for this week's drawing.

Feeling Lucky? *Cheers*

Update May 20 - Winning numbers were 5, 10, 14, 17, 28, 33

  1. Oh how fun! Number 2 is my lucky number so we'll go with that one. And if I had money, I'd totally take my family to HP world. Yes, that is my top reason, no matter how pathetic that sounds :)

    1. Hey Cassie, How convenient that you would have to come to Florida to collect your winnings anyway. Me and my family will go to Harry Potter World with you and we'll stay in the finest hotel available too - deal? :)

  2. Martha, I'll pick number 51. And I would do some house repairs with the funds, then help my kids w/ some financial issues. I would also donate some to a local charity that we support. Here's hoping we win! Thank you!

    1. Mare, House repairs are on my list too and also helping my kinds with financial issues. As far as charity goes, I'd rather invest what's left of my money to enable me to volunteer my time for charity instead of working full time.

  3. This is fun! I pick number 31. If I won, I'd invest wisely and live off the interest. I don't need much to enjoy a leisurely life of roadtrips and writing.

  8. I'll add #17 as next week my 17th grandchild is due. Course I'm already retired but all that money sure would sweeten the days. I always give away most of what I have anyway...I like making others happy! I know you have my email. Good luck to all!

  10. #21; I'd pay my bills off, invest a little for the future, give a big chuck to my niece putting three kids through public school, give a chuck to my other nieces for their college education, maybe give some to my son, and give the rest away to charity.

(stop by my blog sometime this week; check out the entry called "me"; I posted a picture of me, granted it is from seven years ago; I can't remember if I ever posted a picture of me before that you might have seen; I usually don't lately and haven't in any new blogs)

    hope the weekend is enjoyable!

I'll leave the same comment here that I left for Jen - if you can find a beachfront home and be able to afford to live in it for a half mill let me know where and I'll be your neighbor!!

  13. My lucky number is 4, I would pay off my mortgage, as well as replace the roof and upgrade the electrical panel. Then set up a retirement trust account and actually be able to retire without worries! Oh and buy comfortable shoes.....
    PS, wishing everyone luck!

    1. Very realistic Melynda! My thoughts are along the same lines. $500,000. seems like a lot, but if wasn't used and invested wisely it could be gone in a flash.

  14. I'll go with 9, that's the month of my anniversary. If I won I think we'd pay off our house, finally get a honeymoon, and go back to school for the things we really want to do.

Blogger and I aren't the best of friends, so I'm not sure whether or not my email address shows up; it's dlzecher@gmail.com.

  15. 17! No idea why, it just popped in my head. I would donate some to local animal shelters and other animal charities and I'd also help out a couple friends who could really use a safety net. And give a large chunk to our church.

  16. Okay this is fun - I have never heard of this! Okay I'd pick number 22 because it is my favorite number.
If I won - I would have my daughter pay for Andy -my grandson's schooling - he is going to attend a Christian school next year and this would help!

  17. Hi Martha .. I gather I'm too late .. and can Brits enter? I'd come over to Florida to collect that's for sure ..

Fun thought - and I know lots of people who are struggling right now .. I'd sort myself out, and pay for some volunteers to visit Old People's Homes to talk ..

Have a great weekend .. and I hope you all win! Cheers Hilary

    1. Of course you are welcome to enter Hilary, it's open to everyone. If we were to win we could all afford to make the trip to collect :)
