Half Homemade - Pork Chop Dinner

Not only have I been concentrating on quick and easy meals lately, but I have also been trying to use things up from the fridge, freezer and pantry. I don't need any extra stuff to drag with me when we move - if that time ever comes at the rate things are going!

I had planned on doing some grocery shopping today after work. I did a fridge clean out yesterday and the pantry the day before, things are looking pretty bare! We had some really severe weather heading our way this afternoon, I just wanted to get home quick and safely today so shopping was canceled.

I had taken some thin sliced pork chops out of the freezer yesterday. There was nothing left in fresh produce so tonight the sides were stove top stuffing, canned green beans and canned cranberry sauce. Adding those nice little chops just sauteed in a little butter and sprinkled with Montreal seasonings made the meal.

Once again another yummy half homemade dinner was on the table in about 15 minutes - total cost under $10 for 18 thin chops and the sides. It pays to shop the sales and cut your own meat from bulk cuts!

  9. Martha, eventhough it's half homemade and some are canned food but still looking good & yummy. No complaint at all! The weather here is totally unpredictable these days. Just pray hard that the radioation doesn't get to our country as well.
Hope you have everything ready before moving. Have a great weekend.
    Blessings, Kristy

  13. This sounds wonderful, Martha. I love Montreal seasonings, and stove top stuffing is a big favourite of mine. It's hard to get in England and believe it or not I end up paying about $5 for a box! But we treat ourselves from time to time :) Thank you for linking this to Feed Me Tweet Me Follow Me Home - I really appreciate your support :)
