These wonderful creations are simply nice thick slices of leftover meatloaf wrapped in puff pastry dough.
Just defrost the dough, cut and fold it over the slices - as is, no rolling, just slightly stretched over the slices so it's nice and thick, seal edges. Bake on parchment paper at 350 for about 20 minutes. All this from a couple slices of meatloaf ...
The kids can just grab them and go if they want to, but they are even better smothered in gray. They are so filling that a side salad is the very most you'll need to round out the meal.
These puffs are a great way to use up leftovers. In fact, even better than the first night! These are definitely a family favorite here. Try em!
Now this is comfort food, full of elegance! It looks wonderful! Great idea.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea!!! We LOVE grab and go type meals, but the gravy would stop them in their tracks!
